################################################################################## # This file is the author's own piece of work and represents their interpretation of the # # vocal. You lot may only apply this file for private report, scholarship, or inquiry. # ################################################################################## Never Going Dorsum Again ---------------------- Written by Lindsey Buckingham Performed past Fleetwood Mac From the album Rumours, 1977 Transcribed by Vu Le v_le@hotmail.com This is what I accept figured out from scratch. I've seen some TAB that's in Drop D tuning with a capo on the fourth, and some TAB in standard tuning. I think this is a piffling easier, as in less awkward on the fingers to play. It sounds great when playing by yourself, and I think this is the tuning Lindsey Buckingham really uses for this song, however there is a note from Mike Wallbridge at the finish of the file saying otherwise. Savor. Comments and suggestion welcome. Notes: ====== Capo: On the 6th fret if you desire to play in the same key as on the Rumours album. Timing: I use 4/four. Tuning: I use "almost" Open C tuning, from low to high, CGDGBe. That is, drop the 5th string (A) to One thousand, and drop the sixth cord (E) to C. I tried open up C (CGCGCe), but it made the song a little more difficult. Legend: h = Hammer on / = Slide . = Beat - = Half vanquish Notes on playing ================ The beat is played by the thumb. Lindsey Buckingham's style of playing on this particular vocal (and many others) is to apply the thumb to pick the bass notes (very regularly), while his other fingers option the high notes. I've made the timing of the notes equally accurate every bit I could. Other songs that utilize this same sort of picking pattern are: Landslide - by Stevie Nicks (from Rumours, 1977, and The Dance, 1997) The Chain - by Fleetwood Mac (from Rumours, 1977, and The Dance, 1997) Big Beloved - by Lindsey Buckingham (from The Trip the light fantastic, 1997) Intro & Verse Eastward|---------------------3-----three-----|---------------------iii-----iii-----| B|-----1-------0h1-------1-----1---|-----1-------iii---1-----i-----i---| Thousand|---------------------------------|-------------0-------------------| D|-----ii-------0h2-----------------|-----2-----------two---------------| K|---------0---------------0-------|---------0---------------0-------| C|-0---------------0---------------|-0---------------0---------------| . - . - . - . - . - . - . - . - She broke down... According to an interview with Lindsey, he double-tracked the song on Rumours playing it in Dropped-D tuning, which as y'all say is not quite then easy. In the same interview he supplied the tab for the song and I transposed it exactly into C Wahine tuning to see how it came out. A couple of days later I found the enclosed site with exactly the same tuning and the same notes that I had worked out. It is a fuller version that yous have at present and, I retrieve, identical to what Lindsey played if in a different tuning. Promise you lot relish it if you are even so at this address. If you ever manage to work out the tab for the very much slower and dissimilar live version of the song I would appreciate you letting me know. Thanks Mike Wallbridge *************** |================================| | Tabbed by Vu Le on 27-6-2001 | | v_le@hotmail.com | | Comments? | | Suggestions? | |================================|
